Goat Rocks tag notched
« on: October 06, 2011, 03:03:49 PM »
I had a great hunting season. It pays to be in shape!!!!
I met a lot of quality people up there this year. Mark and Dave, two of the other tag holders who also got nice bulls, Matt and Doug their hunting Buddies, and a couple of the goat tag holders. Just a bunch of GREAT guys who would do anything for you. Also the young bear hunter Jason, who didn't mind if I packed his bear a couple of miles for him!!!
I did not do anything I had planned before hand and had scouted for, but it worked out ok.
The short story is--Two bulls were bugling and I got in the middle. After the shot, no blood and an hour later I tracked him down---of course in a large pool of blood.
It is already at Charlies waiting for his magic

Congrats on a great bull.
